Welcome to
the Inter-Agency Library on Disaster Reduction in its new
premises at the International Environment House 2, Geneva, Switzerland.
The Inter-Agency Library for the ISDR reflects the activities
of major stakeholders involved in disaster risk reduction. The
development of such an inter-institutional network within the United
Nations is essential to better acknowledge the international community
on accurate and selected information on disasters and natural,
environmental and technological hazards.
Disaster management leaders, policy makers, the academic and scientific
community, teachers and students, government bodies, NGOs and UN
agencies should all benefit from this universal knowledge on risk
assessment, disaster reduction applications, vulnerability reduction
measures and awareness.
